Dear Tzvetina,
Dear ACTIon team,

We are happy to read that the team of ACTIon is onboard! Here are the next steps for specific the team members that would like to participate:

//1.
I will need the contact emails of the specific people who would like to participate, so that we can communicate only with them directly. I suppose that they are included in the mailing list in CC, so to you: If you would like to take part in the focus group please write a short e-mail to me ( at andrea at researchyouth.net <mailto:andrea at researchyouth.net>) stating your name and the project that you are associated with (ACTIon). In this email address you will receive the informed consent and data privacy forms. It is important that we send it to specific emails and not to the mailing list to ensure authentication, since they are virtual forms.

//2.
Next please fill in this nuudel to share when you are available. Please note: there are many options, but you don't have to fill them all. You can leave options without an answer. You have to scroll all the way to the right to find the "send" button. To make things easier, you can just mark green your absolutely preferred times and red your absolutely impossible times, for now. If we don't find a time, we can look at the details later https://nuudel.digitalcourage.de/tXmDutTm6O1l1Ttp <https://nuudel.digitalcourage.de/tXmDutTm6O1l1Ttp>

Please note that we will not decide on a date and time before next Monday, when my colleague who runs this project with me will be back in the office.

//3.
When the date is set, participants will receive an email with the date and time, a link to the virtual room and links to the consent and data privacy forms.

About having your project external evaluation be a silent observer:

We are concerned that this will impact the comfort and ease of other participants of the interview and, therefore, the quality of our data. We offer the following solution:

Virtual RAY DIGI interviews are audio recorded if all participants give their consent to do so. We could take advantage of this and agree that, if all participants give their consent to be audio recorded, after the interview we will ask them to privately give their consent for the recording to be shared with the external evaluation team (they will do this by emailing us, one by one, so that everyone's choice is unknown to the group). If all participants give consent for the recording to be shared, we will share it.

Let us know what you think.

About the interview with the young people who are active as role models:

We thank you for directing us to the partner who could help. We will contact them next week and share materials to invite the young people to take part in our research.

Thank you again for your interest and your participation and do not hesitate to get in touch if there are any more questions or comments.

With warm regards,

Andrea

Would that be a feasible option for you? We would be ready to conduct the talk in English (four countries) and would ask you to offer us several options for an interview appointment as soon as possible, as agendas are pretty busy. As al alternative we could offer to conduct the interview after our next coordination meeting that will take place on 18th April from 11:00-12:00 CET.

For the others that would be a threshold.

>>
>> Thank you for your prompt answer and your interest. I am also eager to know what the partners of ACTIon say about participating. We are aiming to conduct the interviews with project implementation teams during March and April and, where possible, we would like to conduct the ones with project participants during this time as well.
>>
>> In the case of ACTIon, correct me if I'm wrong, the project participants would be the young people who become POLs. If April is too early to contact them for an interview, we could move that one to happen a bit later. As I wrote in my initial email, we would need you to contact them in our behalf. We will provide you with a flyer and QR code to do so.
>>
>> We aim to have 3 to 5 people in each interview (implementation team interview and young participants interview). For the implementation team, these can be people from different partner organisations, as long as you think they have interesting input for RAY DIGI (i.e. input on the educational features and values related to raising young people's digital and media literacy, input on challenges you faced while doing so, key resources, etc). Depending on who decides to collaborate, there is the option to conduct the interviews in German.
>>
>> You also asked me how many case studies we are doing. You are invited to participate as a transnaitonal case study within RAY DIGI and in total we aim to conduct about 7 to 10 transnational case studies, depending on response rate of the projects we invite. At the same time RAY DIGI also includes national case studies in 17 European countries. All information from these case studies will be summarised and analysed in a report that will be made available on our website www.researchyouth.net <http://www.researchyouth.net/> under "reports", where you can see reports from our other projects.
>>
>> I think this is all relevant information for now. Let me know if you have any more questions. I look forward to your updates.

My name is Andrea and I am contacting you on behalf of the RAY network <https://www.researchyouth.net/> because we are interested in including the "Action <https://www.erasmus-action.eu/project-results/>" ptoject which is ongoing and coordinated by Nexus as a case study in RAY DIGI <https://www.researchyouth.net/projects/digi/>. RAY DIGI is our research project about the role of digitalisation in working with young people and in non-formal learning. You can read more about its context and background below this message. Among other things, we are interested in "Action" because of it focus on young people with fewer opportunities.

In the case of the "Staywell Project", its digital dimension are its website, assessment tool, online resources, etc. We would like to ask you about educational features and values related to creating digital tools with young people in mind. We are also interested in things like the challenges you faced, the resources you used and the things you think are key for success. Lastly we want to reflect together about the experience of the people who participated in your project and we would like to know your take on what the digital needs of young people are how youth work in general can turn towards those needs.

We are interested in conducting a similar interview to the one directed at the implementation team described above. We will tackle the same topics but from the perspective of the young people who participated in your project (so we will ask them about the digital part of the project). If you do not think you can reach out to your participants, please let us know. We are still interested in interviewing your implementation team.

If you have any questions do not hesitate to contact me ( andrea at researchyouth.net <mailto:andrea at researchyouth.net> ). I look forward to reading your answer.

>>>> While digital youth work has seen an increase in policy attention and youth work practice, there is still a mismatch between the increased relevance of digitalisation in young people’s life and its translation to youth work practice. Many youth work and youth sector organisations have struggled, not only to transfer—at least provisionally— their work into online environments, but more deeply to add meaningful digital dimensions to their work with young people. Against that backdrop, the RAY DIGI research project is exploring digitalisation systemati- cally, analysing where and how the gap between digitalisation and youth work can be re- duced, and developing recommendations on how to support youth workers, non-formal educators, young people and youth work organisations/networks in their processes of digital transformation.
